2018: A Milestone Year in Autonomy

Seasons Greetings from Oxbotica!

As 2018 draws to a close, we wanted to take a look back at the amazing year that Oxbotica has had—from continued autonomous trials on the streets of Oxford and London, to our successful funding announcement that welcomed IPGroup and AXA XL into our family, and Fraser Robinson joining our team as a Board Director.

We have forged a new partnership with Addison Lee that will see autonomous taxis on the streets of London by 2021, with our vehicles mapping the iconic roads of Canary Wharf in preparation for this. Just recently, we have deployed our vehicles in a complex part of London, from arrival and installation to Level 4 autonomy within a matter of hours.

2018 has seen us grow from strength to strength, developing the software smarts that drives autonomous vehicles, and bringing all that they offer closer to us all. This and so much more in 2019!
