Oxbotica has beaten tough competition from across the country to win a place to showcase its cutting edge 3D mapping and localisation technology at the UK’s largest innovation show. Oxbotica is a spin-out company from Oxford University’s internationally acclaimed Mobile Robotics Group and has been selected as one of 100 companies to showcase its innovation to over 3,000 attendees at Innovate 2015 on November 9th and 10th at Old Billingsgate in London.
Oxbotica are a technology accelerator – we work with our customers to accelerate integration of world leading innovation into thesir own products. Our solutions allow robots, vehicles, machinery and people to precisely map, navigate and actively interact with their surroundings, delivering new capability and precision to a wide range of applications. Our 3D mapping and localisation solutions enable machines to perceive their environment and understand where they are. At Innovate 2015, we will exhibit new IP in the form of NABU, a hand held device capable of implementing the core technology; survey, navigation, localisation and scene perception.
Oxbotica Chief Executive Dr Graeme Smith said: “We are proud to be selected to showcase our new technology at Innovate 2015. Our roots are in mobile autonomy and we are finding many applications of our driverless car technology in other industries ranging from survey to warehousing to space. We look forward to engaging with potential customers at the show, and discussing how we can add incredible value to their product plans.”
Innovate UK Chief Executive Ruth McKernan said: “Oxbotica is a deserved winner and joins a prestigious group of 100 top innovators showcasing their products at Innovate 2015. With attendees ranging from international investors, buyers and visionary entrepreneurs to government and academia, the showcase is a great platform for winning companies.”
